Our local library is under threat of closure due to cuts in the Lancashire County Council's Library Service budget for 2016 and following years. Please complete the library consultation survey to make your feelings known and help to try and save our library.
Lancashire County Council are withdrawing all subsidies for bus service contracts from 2nd April 2016.
This will impact on services 26 and 27 that currently run through the village.
Bus Operators have been advised of the County Councils decision and have been asked if some service level could be maintained without any level of subsidy. Where this is not possible bus operators will deregister the service with the traffic commissioner from 2nd April 2016.
Currently the Parish Council are not aware of any final decision by the bus company on the future of services 26 and 27. Please complete the bus service consultation survey and let the County Council know your opinion.
